It's my blog and I can blog what I want to!

We went to feed the ducks on Sat. and it was just sooo beautiful, I couldn't resist snapping some shots. So, I hope this isn't silly, and I hope you all enjoy nature as much as I. These are by no means professional grade pics., in fact, that second to last one was taken by my nine yr. old bro-in-law (he's 9 going on 30; I think he wants to be a little bit of everything when he grows up).

My Girls!

Just sittin' around in the kitchen.

Just my Em

Emma is my little Momma's girl. I can't help but melt when I see that big gummy smile of hers'.

Second attempt

This is a second attempt; it's processed darker and with less blue. I think it probably looks much better than the ones below? In general, do you like these pics bnw or color?

My little angels!

My wonderful, talented, and, of course, beautiful sister Anna took these precious pics back in Jan. She shot in raw, so I was really proud of myself because I figured out how to alter them (as raw photos) and then turn them into jpegs. However, I'm afraid that once again they look great to me, but awful on other computers. I just wanted to confirm that with you before I tried it again.

Which one?

I think I know the answer to this question already, but wanted to know which black and white version you like best. And while you're at it, please let me know which pic. you like better too. THANKS!

BEAUTIFUL BELLA. Here's my adorable niece, Bella. This is my second attempt at fixing this pic. Hopefully it looks better now. I won't know until I get on someone else's computer--ARG!

Here's my sweet Em. It was a little dark when I took these, so they're not the greatest, but her cuteness makes up for my poor photo. skills. So, I pose the same old Question: how do they look to you? On my comp. they're quite dark, but I did that on purpose, hoping that they look just right for everyone else.
Kay, so I looked at these (the original post consisted of just the first 3 pics) on Jenn's computer and # 2 and 3 looked really green, so I tried to add more red and ended up with # 4 and 5. Do they look better or worse; I can't tell. ARGGG!

So, I LOVED almost all the pics from this photo shoot; however, I was VERY frustrated to learn AFTER the fact that I had been shooting at 800 ISO. They're a little grainey, but I still love them. CC needed!

So, much to our amazement, we woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. Of course, I saw this as a great photo op.--Krista just wanted to play outside. So, as usual, I chased Krista around begging her to just look at me (getting her to look AND smile is, of course, asking too much), and as you can see, I was not very successful. But ain't she just the cutest thing anyways?!? As with all the pics I photo shop, I used Anna's indie actions on these (the first two "subtle" and the last two "rich") and they are LIFESAVERS!!! Thanks Anna!! If anyone looks at this blog besides Anna and you don't have these, I would highly suggest getting them! Well, as always, I don't know how these really look, so any input you have would be great (I know the pink hat is somewhat distracting, especially in #1, but it was a bad hair day for K).

Here's sweet Krista, waking up from a nap. We just barely got her to sleep in her "big girl bed," and she is so proud of herself when we say how big she's getting. But I think she misses her crib; she loved it so!

Here is a shot taken with my new love. And, my first real attempt at photoshop! How'd I do?
Does #2 look any better???

Anna, feel free to tell me what I'm doing wrong, or what I can do to improve--ANY TIME!!! These were some of the first pic ever taken with my camera, so of course they're not that great (like in these, I noticed that she's looking away from the light source which prob. isn't the best). Hopefully I'll get there some day!

MY Emmy! This is not the greatest pic. technically speaking, but I just love her little face!
My first picture taken with my new toy! Can you believe it... my hubby surprised me with a Cannon Rebel XT on Valentine's Day (and I only got him a couple ties and some treats)!!! I want to post more pics--not that they're real good or exciting, but just for fun--however, I haven't figured out how to re-size for web, so I can only post one at a time. Please bare with me!
P.S. I cut Krista's hair last week. You can't quite tell in this pic, but she looks much more grown up. It's actually quite cute when it's fixed right!

Here are some random images I like. Enjoy!

I haven't posted in a while, so here are some pics from Christmas. I DO apologize for the horrible quality; I want a new camara SOOO badly! I hope you can see them well enough (they're so dark). I just love the one of Krista sitting in her chair, wearing her high-healed shoes, carrying her purse, and talking on her cell phone. GIRLS--you gotta love 'em!

These precious pictures were taken by a photography student (Caroline Simmons) when Emma was just SIX days old! She did such a good job. I had such a hard time narrowing down my favs. Sorry there are so many; there are many more where these came from! Click on the close-ups below to see Emma's LONG eyelashes--they're incredible. Enjoy!

We LOVE our Emma!
